Epocrates

Android 1.6 and up: For those of you with Android phones looking for some sound prescription drug information, the popular Epocrates service is now available in a beta app.

Clinical content isn’t being updated while the app’s in beata, but the basic service is still there, including:

  • Dosing information.
  • Black box warning.
  • Adverse reactions.
  • Pill identification.
  • A number of medical calculators.
  • Interaction checks for up to 30 drugs at a time.

Note that you have to be registered with Epocrates to use the app, and remember that in no way should the app be considered a substitute for a real doctor with real medical training. And so that you remember that, there are several pages of legalese to click through before you use the app. Anyhoo, Check it out now in the Android Market, and there more screen shots after the break.
