Motorola this morning announced the Milestone 2 (which actually first made an appearance last night), also known as the Droid 2 for everybody not on Verizon. No real surprises here. Same 1GHz TI OMAP processor, same Android 2.2, same Adobe Flash Player 2.2. In fact, if you want the full lowdown on the Milestone 2, simply read our Droid 2 review, and pretend it has as slightly older version of the don't-call-it-blur UI. More pics, and video after the break. [Motorola]

The Droid Incredible by HTC is, well -- nothing short of incredible (sorry, I just had to). What's not incredible is the meager battery life, with the stock 1300mAh power plant. That's where the 2150 mAh extended battery for the Droid Incredible comes in, getting you through the day -- and then some. Full review and pictures after the break.

When we first saw the Motorola portrait slider in all its blurrycam glory, we were interested. It's high time a portrait slider rolls out for Android, and the red Droid eye means it's pretty much a given that this one will hit Verizon eventually. To make things even more interesting, if the XT300 name is correct, it would indicate that there's a GSM version of this one out there as well. Or the name could be wrong. Or Motorola no longer uses the XT name only for GSM phones. That's how things go when you deal with rumors and make your best guess from pictures.
A few things we can tell for sure from the pictures and video though -- this one comes with no flash for the camera, has an excellent looking keyboard, a rear mounted trackpad, and some form of Blur, at least for the launcher. We'll keep an eye out, as the form factor looks like something worth trying. Be sure to hit the source link for a mess of pictures and video, and we have one of the vid's after the break. Verizon this morning made it official: The update for the original Droid that will enable you to officially run Adobe Flash is being pushed out. Here's the word:
Verizon Wireless has begun pushing an update today to the DROID by Motorola (introduced November 2009) that will allow customers to download Adobe Flash 10.1 via Android Market. Flash Player 10.1 provides access to millions of sites with rich content including animations, casual games, videos, rich internet applications, audio and much more.
Get your update yet? Let's hear it in the forums.

A handful of Verizon Android smartphones appear to have their end-of-life dates hung over their heads. Phones that already have shuffled off this mortal coil are the HTC Droid Eris (June 16) and original Droid (August 6).
And a handful of phones -- the Droid Incredible, LG Ally, Droid 2 and Droid X -- apparently are slated for EOL on March 31, 2011. (Edit: Yes, 2011, not 2010.) That's give the Droid Deuce a mere seven-month lifespan, which isn't out of the question, given that the original Droid isn't even a year old yet.
Then there's the Motorola Devour, whose EOL date is listed as March 1, 2011. Only, we've already seen it listed as being under EOL, and we'd be very surprised if that March date is correct. So what does that mean? Who knows. And who knows how firm these March 2011 dates are. And either way, it's not like your phone will stop working come next spring. [Phonedog]

Motorola Droid owners have been anxiously awaiting an update for Verizon that will bring support for Adobe Flash. We reported last week that Verizon officially announced that the update would be the second one to come after the initial Froyo roll-out. We knew that it was coming, we just didn't have a date.
Well, Droid-Life has been slipped a screen shot from Verizon stating that the update will be released tomorrow, Aug 24. Great news for Droid owners, who want to add Flash to their mobile experience. Be on the lookout for the update tomorrow! [Droid-Life]
[Ed. note: Any time we use the words "Verizon," "update" and "date" in the same sentence, our mothers and lawyers remind us that there's a better than average chance that we'll get through the target day without anything actually happening. Just saying.]

Looks like Verizon still had a bunch of original Droids in stock, as the phone has once again show its face on the carrier's website with a nice discount to $150. Since the Nexus One has passed, the Motorola Droid is now the only phone you can get (in the U.S. at least) with stock Android goodness.
Also, the saga of the Droid Incredible being on backorder have pretty much ended. The DInc is now back in stock with only a day's wait before shipping. If the PhilBlur-ified Droid X or Droid 2 don't float your boat, you have two other great options waiting for you past the link. [Verizon Wireless]

For those of you still patiently waiting for your original Motorola Droid to get the Android 2.2 update pushed out to you, fear not. Verizon hasn't forgotten you. The carrier just issued a statement saying:
The Android 2.2 ("Froyo") upgrade continues to be rolled out in phases to DROID by Motorola users on the Verizon Wireless network. Later this summer users will be able to download Adobe Flash Player 10.1 from the Android Market.
So Froyo and Flash are coming. If you don't have your update yet, hang tight. And we should all see Flash (finally) in the coming weeks.

A few new details have leaked out (n the heels of the previous Verizon flood) about the Droid Pro, a new version of the Droid 2, and a possible Motorola tablet. In a nutshell, here's what was slipped to BGR:
The addition of some world phones is sorely needed, but we're wondering how the Droid Pro is going to fit into things, and what that means for the Droid X. We shall see. [BGR]
