That may bode well for its U.S. counterparts getting it sometime thereafter, though remember we have to take our carriers into consideration when it comes to getting updates. <p class="rteleft">This isn&#8217;t going to do much for those of you with brand-new <a href="http://androidcentral.com/samsung-captivate">Samsung&nbsp;Captivates</a> or <a href="http://androidcentral.com/samsung-vibrant">Vibrants</a>, but a Samsung France spokesman says the international version of the <a href="http://androidcentral.com/tags/galaxy-s">Galaxy S</a> will be getting Android 2.2 in September. That may bode well for its U.S. counterparts getting it sometime thereafter, though remember we have to take our carriers into consideration when it comes to getting updates. Android Central Forums user <em>g1to3vo678</em> (might wanna change that handle, pal) points out that <a href="http://support.vzw.com/pdf/system_update/droid_x.pdf">there's some documentation for the 604 update</a> (pdf), and <a href="http://www.droid-life.com/2010/07/17/verizon-readying-droid-x-update/">Droid Life says</a> it could be pushed out on July 19 (though we know of a whole lot of people still waiting on that rumored July 13 Froyo update for the original Droid, so take that unsourced rumor how you will). The 18MB&#160;update took just a few minutes to download and install, and we're now working from version 1.13.604.en.US (up from 1.13.516), for whatever that's worth.
