Motorola One 5G is an upcoming mid-range 5G smartphone from Motorola that is scheduled to launch next week Monday. According to a report from GSMArena, the new 5G smartphone is expected to cost under $500 USD and is headed to the United States market.
The Motorola One 5G smartphone features similar specifications as the Moto G 5G Plus with quad rear camera setup and dual front-facing shooters. On the rear, the camera system contains a 48MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera. For selfies, Motorola One 5G sports a 16MP camera and an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Although Motorola One 5G comes with almost the same features as the Moto G 5G Plus, there are still obvious differences between the two 5G smartphones which are seen on the new ring flash around the main camera module of the One 5G. Another difference is that the upcoming Motorola One 5G will feature a dual-LED flash next to the rear camera setup. Unfortunately, we couldn’t confirm the chipset coming with the Motorola One 5G but reports suggest the phone will be armed with a Snapdragon 730G.
In terms of display, we gathered that the smartphone has a 6.7-inch CinemaVision LCD screen with FullHD+ resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio, along with a 90Hz refresh rate. There’s also a huge 5,000 mAh battery joined by support for 20W fast charging. In our review of the Moto G 5G Plus, the phone scored an excellent 114h of overall endurance.
The Motorola One 5G will be available from AT&T and Verizon. The Verizon variant will come with support for the carrier’s mmWave 5G network and will likely cost a bit more than other variants. The Moto G 5G Plus as we know cost about €350, so we wonder if it will be roughly the same in the US. T-Mobile just announced the T-Mobile Revvl 5G, which has a price point of $399. We wonder if the carriers will try to undercut the Revvl 5G’s price point – which is currently the lowest for a 5G smartphone in the US market.
